Prepar3D v5 Sample Settings (PMDG Compatible)

Hello everyone i am sharing my Prepar3D v5 settings. They are based on RTX2060S 8GB GPU and Ryzen 9 3900X CPU. You can increase or decrease by your system. You can find videos with this settings in my channel.

General:

1. Pause on task switch disabled because simulation pausing when switch to other windows
2. Show scenery startup screen should be selected
3. Avatar mode enabled for using avatar mode.

Information:

1. Vehicle labels disabled because vehicle labels not showing in real life.
2. Info text about aircraft (Brakes – Overspeed – Stall) are disabled because this text not showing up in real life.

Sound:

You can do your sound settings from here.
If you want seperate radio sound on your headphones, you can selec speakers as Primary playback device, heasphones as voice playback device.

Traffic:

1. I closed airline traffics because i am playing online.
2. High traffic settings can cause to performance drop with weak CPUs

Realism:

1. This settings made as PMDG 737 NGXu Instruction Manual.
2. Optional settings can be change.
3. I recommend disable crash detection because you will get crash when moving on poor designed sceneries.

Display:

1. Black-out Desktop disabled for using other screens when simulation is using.
2. Auto-fill Main View should be disabled if you have multi monitor setup and you are usşng only one screen for simulation.
3. You can set antialiasing and texture quality according to your visual preferences and performance.
4. Dynamic Texture Streaming reduces the VRAM usage.
5. Do not set Texture Resulation same as previous v4 versions. You should use lower setting in v5. Even if you have a good GPU, the Ultra option may reduce your FPS.
6. Mipmap VC Panel must be disabled, screens in the virtual cockpit will be blurry.
7. You can enable or disable VSync according to your screen tearing. If you using VSync enabled, you can enable Triple Buffering. Triple Buffering can increase your performance a bit but also increases the input lag but input lag doesn’t matter in simulation compared to shooting games.
8. When using VSync enabled, setting frame rate to Unlocked gives better FPS compared to constant FPS selection according to our tests.

World:

Terrain and Scenery Objects sections are default values in this screenshot. You can increase or decrease by your visual preferences and your performance.
Enchaned Atmospheric can be enabled for new volumentirc clouds but it may decrese your performance.
Bathmetry disabled because we are not using submarines. Bathmetry is underwater elevation.

Lighting:

1. Set the shadow settings according to power of your GPU
2. If you doesnt have HDR compatible hardwares, you should disable HDR otherwise you can get darker visuals. For examples, you can’t see inside of engine inlets. Other Controls

You can disable Advanced mause controls if you want legacy FSX/P3D viewpoint controls.
