Q kodları mors kodu ile yapılan telgraf, radyotelgraf/CW haberleşmesinde kullanılan, çeşitli anlamlara karşılık gelen, Q harfi ile başlayan 3 haneli kodlardır. 1900’lü yılların başında ortaya çıkmıştır. Günümüzde havacılıkta, denizcilikte, amatör telsizcilikte ve diğer haberleşme alanlarında kullanılmaktadır. Günümüzde mors kodu ile haberleşmenin haricinde sesli haberleşmede de Q kodlarının harfleri okunarak kullanılabilmektedir.

Q Kodlarının Kullanımı:

  • Belirli Q kodu kısaltmalarına, kısaltmanın hemen ardından sırasıyla YES veya NO gönderilerek olumlu veya olumsuz bir anlam verilebilir.
  • Q kodu kısaltmalarına atanan anlamlar, diğer uygun gruplar, çağrı işaretleri, yer adları, şekiller, sayılar vb. eklenerek genişletilebilir veya tamamlanabilir. Parantez içinde gösterilen boşlukların doldurulması isteğe bağlıdır. Boşlukların göründüğü yerlerde doldurulan veriler, aşağıdaki tabloların metninde gösterildiği sırayla gönderilecektir.
  • Q kodu kısaltmaları, ardından bir soru işareti getirildiğinde bir soru şeklinde kullanılır. Soru olarak bir kısaltma kullanıldığında ve ardından ek veya tamamlayıcı bilgiler geldiğinde, soru işareti bu bilginin ardında bulunmalıdır.
  • Numaralandırılmış alternatif anlamlara sahip Q kodu kısaltmalarının ardından, amaçlanan tam anlamı belirtmek için uygun rakam gelir. Bu rakam kısaltmadan hemen sonra gönderilecektir.
  • Soruda veya cevapta aksi belirtilmedikçe, tüm zamanlar Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) olarak verilecektir.

American Radio Relay League (ARRL)’nin amatör CW ağlarında (CW Net) kullanım için belirlediği özel kodlardır.

QN sinyalleri, yalnızca amatör CW ağlarında kullanım için özel ARRL kodlarıdır. Sıradan amatör sohbetlerde kullanım için değildirler.
